 Hi Jaala, thank you for accepting our invitation to be on our 96.5FM – Egyptian radio show,

            can we start with ......................

Congratulations to you and your team for achieving a strong growth in Export trade from Victoria of  $11.9billion.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Q1] $5.9 billion of $323.6 billion = is ONLY 2%,  What should Australia be doing differently to grow their trade share  ?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Gulf Cooperation Council  [ GCC ] is composed of;

            1] Bahrain , 2] Kuwait  , 3] Oman , 4] Qatar, 5] Saudi Arabia, 6] United Arab Emirates (UAE)

‘Import growth in GCC countries has been buoyant with double-digit rates every year since 2004. In absolute terms, imports of goods and services in the six GCC countries more than tripled from USD 114 billion in 2000 to USD 345 billion in 2007 (IMF projection).

Saudi Arabia (USD +90 billion) and the UAE (USD +80 billion) account for almost three-quarters of the additional imports over this period.

As a share of GDP, since 2000 imports have increased on average by 10 percentage points, from 33% to 43%

Q2] GulFood Dubai 2017,            What will it mean to Australia’s Trade figures ?,

                                                Will it translate into more local jobs in Australia ?

                                                GCC foreign investment into our Agribusiness, is that a good or bad choice for Australia ?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The European Union (EU) is the principal trading partner for the GCC, being the source of the bulk of the region’s imports

Q3] What will Brexit mean to Australia and it’s knock on effect trading with the GCC ?
