Jackie Maud-Cameron

Jackie Maud-Cameron first came to the air-waves in the early days of 96.5's existence in 1991, first as receptionist and then filling-in for Maria Costellana's "M&M Hits" for seven weeks whilst Maria went on leave.

A tireless worker for the Community, Jackie received an Australia Day Award "in recognition of her valued contribution to the electorate of Jagga Jagga" in 2002 and, apart from her volunteer work at 96.5, Jackie has been a ceaseless and hard-working volunteer at the Ivanhoe RSL Club & Sub-Branch as Bar Manager and a Committee Member since 1994, Hon. Secretary since 2001 and, in 2002 the members elected her as Treasurer –  positions she holds to this day. Jackie has also been an invaluable volunteer for the Sir Edward 'Weary' Dunlop Medical Research Foundation for many years.

After her "M&M Hits" stint, David Miller and Jackie Maud-Cameron teamed-up for "Take It Easy" in 1991 and the duo are still entertaining loyal and new listeners with their "Music Quiz" and "Jackie's Movie Trivia"… where she tries her hardest to beat David with a "Who Am I?"

Early in the 1990s, and together with her evening program, Jackie alternated weekly with Joan Gillespie to air the Saturday afternoon music program "Saturday Musicale" until Ron Lopes commenced his popular "Saturday Express".

Jackie is also the co-ordinator and an occasional presenter for "Music-Go-Round", which goes to air at 11am Sundays –  a 50s and 60s rock 'n' roll program which comprises of a panel of several of 96.5's well-known presenters who each let their hair down every six weeks or so.
