96.5 Inner FM's transmitter is located at the Austin Hospital, which is about 1km from our studios in Heidelberg.
The station’s current RVR 300 watt transmitter was put to air in September 2008 and performs the important job of broadcasting our signals across our service area. The previous transmitter was installed in 2000 and now supports our current transmitter as a standy-by unit. Our transmitters have delivered over 10 years of virtually trouble free performance.
Our main broadcasting antenna is a Polar 160FM-2 circular elliptical polarised antenna and is located on top of the Austin Hospital boiler house.
