Rob Morrison’s next Musical Theatre Melodies broadcast on Tuesday, 26th September will feature a 90th anniversary tribute to the George and Ira Gershwin musical Let ‘Em Eat Cake (a sequel to their 1931 musical Of Thee I Sing), from the 1987 New York studio cast recording starring Maureen McGovern, Lary Kert and Jack Gilford, with David Garrison, Paige O’Hara, Jack Dabdoub, George Dvorsky, Haskell Gordon and Casper Roos.
The broadcast will conclude with song selections from George and Ira Gershwin’s Of Thee I Sing from the 1952 Broadway revival cast recording starring Jack Carson, Paul Hartman, Betty Oakes and Lenore Lonergan.
The broadcast will commence at 9 p.m. EST.
