We are a long-running community radio station, proudly broadcasting music, local information and community voices to listeners across Melbourne’s inner north and beyond. As a not-for-profit station, we exist to serve our community — and sponsorship plays a vital role in keeping us on air.

We’re currently looking for a self-motivated Sponsorship Sales Contractor to help local businesses and organisations connect with our loyal community radio audience through on-air sponsor messages.

About the role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys people, conversation and connection — and who takes satisfaction in helping local businesses tell their story while supporting a much-loved community service.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Reaching out to local businesses and community organisations in our broadcast area covering the cities of Banyule, Manningham, Darebin and beyond, explaining the benefits of sponsoring Inner FM
  • Matching sponsors with suitable on-air packages and coordinating simple 30-second sponsor messages
  • Maintaining relationships with sponsors during their campaigns and encouraging renewals and repeat support

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys talking with people and building genuine, long-term relationships
  • Has experience — or a strong interest — in sales, account management, fundraising, or media/advertising
  • Is comfortable working as an independent contractor, managing their own time and activity
  • Is motivated by results and aligned with community values
