A desire to discover things outside their established lifestyle led Inner FM members Doug and Alison Retchford (pictured below), to respond to the invitation in our last newsletter for a studio tour, by applying via email. That’s how they found themselves sitting in with one of our jazz presenters, George Krupinski, during his program That’s Jazz! on Thursday morning August 15, at 11 am.
Doug explained on air that Alison and himself had ‘stumbled’ across our broadcast, and by having eclectic tastes in music, the variety of programs on Inner FM appealed to them. They have been listening for over seven years now.
Alison and Doug sat in on the last half hour of That’s Jazz, and George explained the process and the technology required to put a program to air, while answering their questions about the systems involved. Now when they listen to their favourite programs, they will have a new appreciation of its source.
